I Setting Up From Your Wireless Handset
1. How do I set up my Voice Mail?
Press *VM (*86) and SEND and then follow
the set-up tutorial which will walk you through selecting
a password and recording a voice signature and greeting
for your Voice Mailbox.
If you hear a system greeting when you
press *86 SEND, press # immediately to interrupt the
greeting and follow the tutorial which will walk you
through setting up your Voice Mailbox by selecting a
password, recording a voice signature and selecting a
greeting.
II Message Retrieval From Your Wireless
Handset
1. How do I access my Voice Mail to retrieve
messages?
Press *VM (*86) and SEND to access your
Voice Mailbox. Follow the prompts to enter your password
and retrieve your messages. Please note: If you press
*VM (*86) and hear your own or a system greeting, press
the # key to interrupt the greeting and follow the prompts
to enter your password and retrieve your messages.
Prepay customers: Press *VM (*86) and
SEND to access your Voice Mail box. Follow the prompts
to enter your password and retrieve your messages. (Airtime
usage applies for Voice Mail retrieval in most areas).
Please note: If you press *VM (*86) and hear your own
or a system greeting, press the # key to interrupt the
greeting and follow the prompts to enter your password
and retrieve your messages.
NOTE: Not available in some areas. Voice
Mailboxes not set up within 45 days will be cancelled.
Your Verizon Wireless Voice Mailbox is not password protected
until you create a password by following the steps listed
above. Airtime and other charges will be incurred when
using Voice Mail from your wireless phone. Verizon Wireless
is not liable for missed voice mails, or deletions of
voice mails from your Voice Mailbox, even if you've saved
them.
III Password Reset
1. If I forget my Voice Mail password,
how can I get it reset?
From your wireless handset: Press *611,
SEND (airtime free) or call (800) 922-0204 (toll free)
from any phone to reach the easy-to-use automated customer
service menu . Selection option #2 (To Reset your VM password) and then press
1 when prompted for the password reset menu. You will be asked to enter your
5-digit billing zipcode and you should then follow the prompts for security
verification and resetting the password.
Prepay customers Voice Mail reset:
From your wireless handset: Press *611, SEND (airtime free) to reach one of
our service centers.
Or call (866) 837-3387 from any phone
to reach prepay customer service.
NOTE: Not available in some areas. Voice

Ringback Tones
With Ringback Tones from Verizon Wireless, when your
friends dial your number, they’ll hear music that you’ve
selected instead of the standard ring, right up until
you pick up. Add a little fun to your
incoming calls with
Ringback Tones.
On the Web:
• Go to the Ringback Tones tab to view available tones.
• Click on the headphones icon to preview tones.
• Click on the shopping cart icon to purchase tones.
• Click on the “My Settings” to assign your new tone to any
callers you choose.
• Set up alerts to get a TXT message when new tones from your favorite
artist become available.
Purchase Ringback Tones:
• $0.99 per month
• $1.99 one-time charge per tone (12-month license, 20-tone max)
From your handset:
• To subscribe to Ringback Tones, send a TXT message to 728 (RBT) with “RBT” in
the message.
• To have a list of tones available for purchase sent to your Verizon Wireless
handset, send a TXT message to 728 (RBT) with “List” in the message.
• To purchase a tone, send the song ID code as a TXT message to 728 (RBT).

Forwarding Calls
Forward your calls to another phone
number, including your home or office number. Your wireless
phone will not ring until you deactivate the service.
Airtime
applies to forwarded/transferred calls even if you send the call to wireline
telephones. When forwarding calls to phone numbers outside your local calling
area, you’ll be billed for any toll, long distance, and airtime charges
incurred. Additional per-minute charges may apply to all forwarded calls.

Call Waiting
To Initiate Call Waiting:
When you're on the line and a second call comes in, you'll hear a tone to let
you know you have another call. When that happens, you have three choices:
1) Put the first call on hold by pressing SEND. You'll
automatically be connected with the second call. To return
to the first call: Press SEND again. To switch between
the two calls: Press SEND.
2) Or, end the first call by asking the first caller
to hang up. This automatically connects you to your waiting
call.
3) Or, ignore the Call Waiting tone. After 30 seconds,
the waiting caller will hear a message indicating that
you're not available, or will be forwarded to your voice
mailbox if you subscribe to a messaging service.
To Cancel Call Waiting:
Before a call, dial *70 + the 10 digit number you are calling + SEND.
411 Connect
Directory assistance with automatic call completion. An operator will assist
you when you request numbers, addresses and information for anything from restaurants
and movies to the nearest florist. Simply press 4-1-1 and SEND from your handset.
$1.49 per call plus airtime.
Roadside Assistance
Roadside Assistance follows your wireless phone, so emergency help is always
easy to reach. You’re covered anywhere in the U.S. and Canada – whether
you’re in your own car, a friend’s vehicle, or a rental. You can
even lend your wireless phone to a friend or family member, and they’ll
be covered, too. Your wireless phone simply needs to be at the scene of the
breakdown.
Your safety doesn’t get any
simpler and more convenient than this. Only $2.99 per
month; your coverage becomes
effective two days following your enrollment into the
program. Additional fees may apply for certain services.
Roadside Assistance offers a very affordable way to drive
with peace of mind.
All service events limited to a maximum
of $50, except for extricating/winching, which is limited
to a maximum
of $100. Towing is limited to 10 miles (or to the tower’s
facility, whichever is closest).
Battery Boost
A battery boost will be provided by a service provider in an attempt to start
the vehicle.
Tire Service
If the vehicle's spare is inflated and serviceable, it will be installed to
replace a flat tire.
Fuel Delivery
Up to three (3) free gallons will be delivered to the disabled vehicle with
an empty tank to enable the driver to reach the nearest open service station.
Lockout Service
If the keys are locked inside the vehicle, a service provider will attempt
to gain entrance. If the keys are lost or broken and the service provider
cannot gain entrance to the vehicle, locksmith service up to $50 will be
provided. In cases where the vehicle cannot be made operable, towing will
be provided in accordance with the towing provision.
Mechanical Adjustments
Minor/temporary adjustments, including tightening belts and checking hoses
and fuses, may be made by a service provider in an attempt to enable the
vehicle to operate safely under its own power.
Extricating/Winching
A vehicle will be extricated/winched (by a service provider with standard service
equipment) when it can be safely reached from a normally traveled or established
thoroughfare. The subscriber will be notified of any charges exceeding $100
and will be responsible for settling charges in excess of $100 directly with
the service provider.
Towing
When a vehicle will not start or cannot be safely driven, it will be towed
to the service provider's facility rendering the service, or a maximum of
10 miles in any direction from the point of disablement, at no additional
charge. The tower may provide additional towing mileage at the program subscriber's
request and following tower's disclosure of the applicable rates, charges
and conditions. Unless prohibited or limited by local or state regulation,
program subscriber shall pay for the additional towing mileage at the time
the service is rendered as directed by the service provider. |
